Huge Hotel located near to Jozankei Bridge with Soba shop, Family Mart & Lawson nearby. Our twin room was huge and came with 2 king size beds. Beds were too soft for my liking and surprisingly for a huge bed there was only 1 pillow. The complimentary cookie snacks tasted good. Channels were mainly Japanese. We had a nice view of the Toyahira River from the window. There was a complimentary 1.5L of bottled water in the refrigerator which was rare in Hokkaido hotels as the tap water is drinkable so most hotel wouldn't provide that. Toiletries were well-equipped but the bathroom was small and squeezy for such a huge room. Onsen changing room was huge but the Onsen hot pools itself were not impressive. Maybe the Men's pool at that evening timing has the better location? The hotel has a arcade, swimming pool and a huge souvenir shop. Breakfast and Dinner was enjoyable coz there were impressive varieties of food, mainly Japanese but some Viet and Myanmese food. There was long queue for the Kaisen bowls. At the Dessert corner though there was only small cakes, fruits, yogurt & dried fruits. No pastries. Drinks stations were well placed in other corners near the seats other than the main station so it was easy to access when you want to top up. Was attended to by an brillant Indian staff at reception when I made enquiries in English on transport to Susukino. She provided clear information on the Jotetsu bus stop opposite & timings which we could wait after check-out. The other Japanese staff were polite and friendly as well. Will visit Jozankei again but will consider a hotel in a more central location near to the park :-) Some less crowded hotel perhaps ...lol

We stayed in a tatami room, quite comfortable. The Onsen, spa and lagoon (pool) facilities are amazing, a typical Japanese hotel resort. The buffet choices are also good despite people’s review of being over crowded, it’s just the scale of the hotel is huge. However, they managed the seat allocation really well. It’s quite old hotel with classic but grandeur design and clean. The view from our room and the restaurant are fantastic. Staff are very kind and helpful. As we are travelling during winter, the location serves our purpose well. It is in the centre towards Sapporo Kokusai ski resort or further west to Rusutsu and about 45 mins from Sapporo city by car.

1. Water park and spa was a big hit with the kids. There is a rooftop spa as well with a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains. Highly recommend it for snowy winter days. There's also special beauty products inside the spa like peeling gels which many other spas do not provide. 2. Buffet was crowded and the dining hall is massive as per other reviews but the staff do their best to ease congestion and we didn't have to line up very long or wait for refilling of premium food items. More rotation and variety would be nice as everyday was the same. Having said that we enjoyed everything.

Onsen facilities are amazing. The best onsen in Japan IMO. Two levels B1 and B2 are loaded with hot pools, saunas, rest areas, entertainment pools, outdoor hot pools. Comparing to other hotels with onsens in Japan this one is the shining star. Restaurant is beautiful with 10m panoramic windows all around you. Fresh fish, nagiri, sashimi, meat, etc. were outstanding. Taking into account the price is reasonable you will not be disappointed.

Very nice hotel with comfortable japanese style room, the futon bed is very comfortable. Excellent breakfast and dinner. There is crowd control during breakfast and dinner time, so, it is not as crowded as mentioned in any other visitor's comments. Very friendly staff with good english in the reception. The hotel is very close to the jozankei shrine and convenience store. Worth the value, will visit again in future !
